Buffo Chapel
The Buffo Chapel is situated in
Los Quebrachitos, Unquillo, Córdoba.Buffo was born in
Italy, later he moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina In 1914 he married Leonor Allende
in Córdoba. After that, he bought the land in Unquillo.
Buffo
built the chapel in 9 years since 1947. It was built tohold his dead wife and
daughter's corpses. The chapel was built
inspired in the nature. The shape of the chapel copy he bud
of the Cardo Santo
flower.
Buffo
worked with his hands neatly and with effort. The chapel was
built by Guido Buffo. He was an artist, a music, an astronomer, a scientific,
a seismology, a professor, a writer, a
philosopher, an sculptor, and others.
There, he
mixed his knowledge and wisdom making the chapel. It is an oratory and a sanctuary. It has 35 steps. In the floor you can
walk on painted clouds, planets and stars. Inside there are religious quotes, "praise God", "Praise of Feeling","Praise the Intellect".

The
restoration began in May of 2014, after one year in charge of Marcela
Mammana (restorer, specialist in murals) and José
Javier Correa (architect).
Guido Buffo died in 1960, and is buried in the Chapel.
